A leader in manufacturing quality aluminum extrusions, Western Extrusions Corporation has grown from a 49,000 square foot facility in 1979 to its current manufacturing plant encompassing over 750,000 square feet. An ISO 9000 certified manufacturer, Western Extrusions has the capacity to produce close-tolerance profile extrusions up to 60 feet in length and under some conditions up to 19 inches wide. After extrusions are made, a number of finishing processes can be applied including mechanical finishing, chemical finishing, and paint processes. The mechanical finishing processes offered by Western Extrusions include polishing, as well as brushing in several specific patterns, for extrusions up to 50 feet in length. Anodize finishing processes include both etching (acid and caustic) and bright dip in a range of colors from black to champagne, for lengths up to 30 feet. All chemical processes meet or exceed AAMA and the Aluminum Association’s standards and specifications. There is also a horizontal paint line that applies paint electrostatically using both Kynar and polyester powder coatings. The company is certified to meet AAMA standards 2603, 2604, and 2605 for liquid coating processes.
