Alterna Jars for Blendtec have sharp blades and the blade assembly cutting unit is removable from the container. This carafe with another interchangeable blade unit fits also on Vitamix, Waring 3.5 hp blenders, and many others. The material is made from Eastman Tritan Copolyester and is BPA-FREE.
