Although I’m not just a great fan of this area myself, for its many visitors and the point that I’ve seen it not just a thousand times. Self-driving the Golden Circle as an alternative to joining an organized tour allows you stop for photos whenever you want or head off to explore side roads. There’s no rush when you’re vacationing on your own pace. If you want, or wait patiently for perfect clouds to move into your camera frame, spend an hour petting Icelandic horses. The Golden Circle is definitely the ultimate tourist trail in Iceland featuring its beautiful, waterfalls and geysers national park vistas.
