My neighbors had hired Tim Washington to repair their retaining wall that had collapsed after Hurricane Irene hit the NY/NJ area. I met Tim when he first started the job. I had warned him that I was concerned if the job was going to be done in a professional, and organized manner. It wasn't. I had finished my retaining wall about 6 months prior, and was very nervous about any more damage to my wall. I had taken a picture of the finished wall, and there were about 1,000 lbs of stones laid at the base of my wall. And they weren't cheap. What happened next is impossible to describe. Tim's workers had dumped dirt on top of the stones, and when it was time to remove ALL the dirt, the stones went with it. About $1,200 worth of stones. He admitted the mistake, but did nothing to correct it. I may sound bitter, but it was my wall, and it was damaged. He owes me money, along with the home owners. [email protected]
