GARY OR TROY he goes by was hired by AHS not me , I wouldn't use him or recommend him , AHS paid for his labor and ac unit , so all that was left was any modificatios need to install unit , well he quoted $3800, for parts , so I'll give u the list and actuall cost of materials and u make up ur mind about this guy , $2000, was for crane to lift unit on top of house , he said so high because it was coming from Midland , when I told him we had a local crane for around 450- 500$, he said couldn"t use them because of insurance , $800 for duct mod.$ 400 for base mod.$150 for gas and $150 for electricall mod , ok so here we go the crane that was hired was in fact the locone I was going to hire when asked him about it he lied and said, thats not what I told him , so apparently he doesn't understand plain english ,when in fact we called the owner of the crane , he came over and told gary , the crane was working for me not him @ cost of $500 , not $2000, so work done by crane I pd $500, out of my pk, now for base mod , he used 3 of my 4x4 to set unit on , but still wanted to charge us $400, I think not, duct mod was a piece of duct board 4x4 @ best and a tube of caulk , no flashing as I was told around $30not $800, no electrical mod ,all he did was hook it up which was included in labor, pd by AHS, the gas mod was 18 inch gas flex hose around $20 @ home depot I ck and thats on the high end , ok so that left disposal of unit $400, which u have to pay, he still wanted $2900, so u decide

Do NOT use this company! We called because our A/C went out. Allied said they'd send Affordable Heating and Air out of Abilene Tx (2 1/2 hours away)the next day. I called Affordable 3 times the next afternoon, each time they assured me the tech would be there that day. They showed up 3 days later. They said that the compressor had a hole on the bottom caused by dog urine. Allied called and said that because the hole was caused by dog urine it was not normal wear and tear and they would not repair it. 1st of all the unit is at least 10 years old and behind a fence where my dog would not be able to access it, 2nd my dog is a female and as such would have a hard time urinating on an air conditioner. 3rd Allied reports they cover rust damage and Affordable said the hole was rusted out. We have paid Allied for over four years and this was the 1st claim we filed. What bothers me almost as much as them ripping us off for all that time is they would use such a stupid excuse and would find us so simple minded as to accept it. I would warn everyone off from using Allied Warranty and Affordable Heating and Air. After reading the previous reviews it would seem Allied uses companies like Affordable to get out of repairs and/or require customers to pay even more.
