Last April 2023, I hired Ron (Ronald) Jackson, owner of this company. He was to put in a three- season room for $28k . I am a single parent, my house is from the 1950's. I have been slowing working on fixing it up. My daughter and I were looking forward to this addition. I am very type A and knew exactly what I wanted and didn't . All discussions with Jacksons about my needs were done prior to payment. I paid Jackson $20k upfront (I know now that was stupid) to begin work. He told me work couldn't start till end of May due to a church project he was finishing up. I said fine, as long as it is done by the end of August, before my daughter goes back to school. Well, Jackson had every excuse in the book. Even though, he cashed my check on May 19 not even 24 hrs after it was written, nothing was done till July. I get back from vacation at the end of July to find the work that was promised had not been done. Cement had not been poured, walls had not been installed. I ended up hiring a lawyer to try and get Jackson in compliance. We even sat on the phone for two hours writing up a step by step guide for him on what was to be done, and he still didn't do it. He had every excuse in the book, "he was busy, he was working on his basement , it was too hot" on and on. The job ended with him digging a whole and pouring cement that was too high and will now cost $8k to fix He never called the city to come prior to pouring or after to inspect (which is the law) He wanted an additional $8k on top of the contract agreement and stated that I would need to pay for the windows etc on my own. This guy is not honest, this guy is a con artist. His LLC was dissolved in 2020 after a previous lawsuit. He was not part of the BBB until after August 2023 when we made h aware that he was never part of it. This nightmare is still going on. A lawsuit was brought against him, he agreed to sign a settlement for the full amount. He and his lawyer changed the dates of payment to give him more time and he still never payed. This man thinks he is above the law above any binding legal agreements. I will get my money back, it's already being taken care of. Let my story be a warning to you, about this company and this man. I have attached photos and documents proving my story. Please don't make my mistake. Jackson has been criminally charged and currently has a warrant for his arrest due to this event.
