I am a huge fan of this place. The history just oozes out of it, and the staff seems to understand that they are the current stewards of a historic treasure. They are motivated, professional and attentive.
The new owners (2 years ago) seem to be putting a renewed emphasis on this property, making extra efforts to update the place physically and in its offering. There is a new vitality and vibrancy about the business... I've spent a fair amount of time there recently, and I like what I see.
From the fresh landscaping to a new Happy Hour (with the expected drink specials and appetizers.... historically-linked Cornish Pasties and the like)... there is a good vibe around this place right now.
I wish them the best, and hope they thrive.
