Always get 2-3 estimates for repairs. I made the mistake of getting estimates after this service repair. Dave The Plumber charged $274 for a toilet fill valve replacement. I called Larry and Sons who advised they need to come out to give specific pricing but gave $180-200 estimate. Angi gave $180 estimate. The 5-minute fill valve replacement bill breakdown is: $40 dispatch fee $135 fill valve *(typically $25-$35) part* $99. Hook supply (labor) Women especially, should avoid merchants who over overcharge like this. You can't trust that because someone runs a local small business & are friendly they are going to be fair with pricing. I have contacted the merchant to inquire about the part cost & will update this review if there was a typo or some other mistake in pricing once I receive a response to my call and text.
