Distributor of the World's Best Magazines and Newspapers. A national distributor of the best foreign-domestic fashion, music, tech, food & wine, news, art, decor, photography, design and gaming magazines and newspapers. Speedimpex was founded in 1962 as the first company to import foreign newspapers into the United States by air. The Italian press was first to take advantage of this trend-setting tactic and shortly afterward, magazines and periodicals were added from Spain, France, England, Switzerland, and the Arabic nations. From 1962-1984, Speedimpex was based exclusively at its New York headquarters. With increasing demand for foreign press in the United States, and in order to supply timely distribution services to the 1984 Olympics, our first regional office was opened in Los Angeles. As demand continued to grow, a San Francisco office, followed by a Chicago office, were opened in 1985 and 1986, respectively. With increasing British tourist activity in Florida, Speedimpex opened its fifth regional office in Orlando in 1988. In 1996, Speedimpex opened its sixth regional office in Washington D.C., which services key newsstands as well as many foreign embassies. In addition to our locations throughout the United States, Speedimpex has international facilities in Australia, Canada, Italy, Brazil and China.
