Took the money but did not complete the work. Was to take 5-6 days...after nine months, not done. Ignored attempts by Angie's List to get him to complete the job, and promised ad exec at newspaper he advertises in that he would complete it, but did not. Uses a couple of phone numbers and also goes by both ACE and Ken's Brick Repair. Would disappear for a month at a time, not answer/return calls, rarely showed up when he did promise to, left huge mess in yard...bricks, wood, mixed and unmixed mortar, drink bottles, etc. Cashed checks at a beer takeout store. Admitted his insurance lapsed during this time. Says he's been sued before and doesn't bother him if he would be again.
