I've used Walnut Tree Service twice to trim a large silver maple tree in our yard that was hanging over our house. The first time, they were one of three companies I secured quotes from. After checking some of their references and verifying their licensing and insurance, I hired them and was very happy with their service. Very professional, effective and cleaned up after themselves. I've since recommended them to neighbors who had them do much larger jobs than mine. My neighbors were also very pleased with their work. Recently we hired them to quote removing a tree another company said needed to be taken down. Instead the Walnut Tree Service rep recommended we save the tree and even gave us ideas on how to do it. So they are not all about just tree removal but also tree care. Good, honest company and reasonably priced.

I called Richard who works for Walnut Tree Service on the recommendation of my mother who had used them. Richard came to my home in Romulus in late April, 2015 and gave me a quote. He said it would be about six weeks before they got to my home. When I talked to Richard in June he said I was on the list and it would be a couple more weeks. As of today November 29, 2015 my tree still hasn't been removed and I've left several messages with no return calls. It's sad considering the good recommendation my mother gave me and my next door neighbor also wanted to have there tree removed. I can't see recommendng a company that clearly doesn't follow through.
