I have used refrigerated air conditioning services for 40 years, 22 in Central Texas. Doug is the best I have encountered. He has suggested and performed repairs instead of trying to sell new units. When I repaired the A/C in the Youth van for our church, Doug came to my home after I had replaced faulty pieces, vacuumed the system dry, and filled it with coolant AT NO CHARGE. I could not be more satisfied.

Douglas Byrd is a former employee of AMI Services located in New Braunfels Texas and has made false claims in an attempt to slander AMI Services solid reputation to the general public "and" mislead users of this website. Any business or individual who seek services from Douglas Byrd should be aware of his malicious nature and complete lack of professionalism. His actions have been reported to the owners of this website.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Complaints are being filed with the TDLR (Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation) by me as well as the City of San Marcos. The complaints are after examination of a City inspector of the work done. Also, I am contacting the Attorney General's Office on charges of Consumer Fraud. This company and it's owner Doug Byrd took money for a completed job to install a new HVAC at the new location for The UPS Store in San Marcos, TX. He did place (sort of) a new unit on the building but on bricks and boards, with no curb (what a commercial units sit on to seal it to the building) and using nothing that was to City Build Code either in ducting or even thermostats, plus leaving a large hole in the roof. Therefore, because of his work, I hve sustained extensive water damage, costly delays in the buildout of the new business location, and additional repairs in excess of $13,000. I place many phone calls, text messages, and emails, trying to first give him a chance to correct the damage, then to demand a refund of my money. No phone calls were returned, no text messages or emails were answered. I also have come to find that no physical address is available for this company as they use a Personal Mail Box at "Mail and More" so the street address shown is not their true address. My next steps are with my lawyer, unless I here from ACS / Mr. Byrd with a refund of my money.
