Mary is fantastic! I started piano lessons with her several months ago. She's extremely knowledgeable on music theory, and the *why* behind chords, different keys, different fingering positions, etc. She's a professional pianist herself, so it's easy for her to demonstrate to me how something should be played. And she knows what she's talking about when I ask questions about how pianists evolve, the importance of sight reading, and a million other questions I have asked her about this journey I've embarked on. She's also got a great personality: cheerful, patient, supportive, good listener, funny, relaxed, always a smile. Bottom line, I recommend Mary highly! (Matt McAdams) Mary's patience and persistence have been a key element in maintaining my ongoing willingness to learn and try and master the guitar in my 40s. Her humor has made tackling the obstacles of long forgotten skills, like music reading, far less intimidating and lessons are always a pleasure, rather than a chore. She comes to my house and has helped me to become a much better singer.She also teaches me how to use piano and guitar and now we are starting to work on composing, which is something I'm looking forward to using in the future for my music career.
