I grew up with Old Village paints. My mother painted everything with it. She only had to paint trim or furniture once, because the color and and finish lasted forever! I use Old Village too. It is unbeatable in covering and it wears like iron.

I have used Old Village’s Buttermilk Paint Reproduction Colours and their Graining Liquid for over 20 years and recommend these fine products to any one concerned with a fine and fabulous outcome on any surface waiting for paint! Exclusively used on the One of A Kind pieces we build and paint decorate with unique grained finishes, and to restore early painted furniture and necessities. No other paint comes close in achieving the buttery consistency and durability, along with knowledge of, and the respect for the historic colors found in and on our country’s earliest homes and businesses. Always true colors batch to batch and wonderful coverage with just one coat! Old Village has been my choice of paint both personally and professionally.The rich pure tones are not only authentic but by far more durable than any comparable brand of paint. The pigment remains true, resists fading and hardens to a magnificent finish. I have used Old Village in several historic restorations,and the result? Stunning. But don't be fooled, "historic" colors are NOT simply for the "farm houses!" The pallet that O.V offers is ALSO quite adaptable to contemporary applications! If you have never "tried" Old Village you need to..you will never ever settle for an inferior product! Susan Clifton ASID/IFDA
