Dr. Hoover graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Tennessee Medical School. He completed his General Surgery Internship and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Medical School where he was also the team physician for the Houston Aeros hockey team. While practicing in Texas, Dr. Hoover was Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery at Sugar Land Surgical Hospital. Dr. Hoover currently is the medical director for Fort Sanders West Outpatient Surgery Center in Knoxville Tennessee, and Medical Director for Tennessee Orthopedic Surgicalists in Crossville, Tennessee. Dr. Hoover is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
