Although it is set in the time of the Mayans, the reader gets the feeling that they are there experiencing everything with the characters. Throughout the book, you are pulled into the story by the descriptive passages - detailing the jungle, the city, and the daily lives of the characters - what they wear, what they eat, how they fight. There is a good deal of conflict and plot twists that leave you wondering how it will all end. Upcoming books promise to be just as exciting." By Eric A.
