This was encouraged by my new wife who was extremely supportive. I showed my Photo-Real watercolors on the beach in Santa Barbara, California (84 thru 90) and was extremely successful. I definitely had a fan group of individuals who drove up from LA on the weekends. I was also popular with the "Snowbirds" who were escaping the winter cold of the Northeast and spending a couple of weeks in the warmth of Santa Barbara. As home computers took hold in the mid to late nineties I became more and more intrigued with what could be done in purely visual art. Photoshop quickly became my favorite computer program. In the mean time I invested in a wood lathe with the idea that I could turn my own pots. I guess I would consider myself a bona fide pot collector in both oriental and Mata Ortiz varieties.
