I've been to other therapists and most of them treated me a bit formally. They also tended to keep their opinions to themselves, doing a lot of listening, but offering no real, helpful suggestions. I felt frustrated with that kind of approach. Dr. Fran was different in that he is friendly, personable, and was ready to offer ideas, book suggestions, "homework" activities in between sessions, and possible solutions to the concerns I had. He helped me to get more serious about actually DOING something to help myself. I REALLY appreciated his approach. He also had a wisdom from his own personal and professional experience that came through in how he listened and understood my situation. I definitely was helped, and recommend him to others!
