Unique hand dyed, painted, and marbled 100% silk fashions and accessories.

Mauveine began in 2011. In my home-based studio I create one-of-a-kind silk garments and accessories. Each piece begins from a length of 100% silk white fabric which is cut to size and machine hemmed. I then hand dye and steam the fabric to set the color. Some pieces are marbled: Floating paints on a thickened liquid and laying the fabric on top to transfer the pattern. Others may be embellished with machine or hand embroidery, beading, edging, etc. for a truly unique fashion statement.
