I recently moved to the Crystal River Florida area and discovered this wonderful craft beer brewery and brewpub that shares the building with Copp Winery and wine bar when some family came down for a visit. What a treasure!!! The Copps had just opened a craft beer brewery there where Donna's husband Fran makes all the beer. My father-in-law was in heaven! While I was enjoying the great wines that Donna makes, he had a few beers and let me taste a couple of them. His favorite was the Inugrabew Porter and mine was the True Grit corn grits one. Delicious! The place itself is so homey feeling and comfortable. There are four public rooms with tables and chairs and with lots of oak and walnut topped bars in the wine bar and brewpub rooms. Fran also gave us a little tour of one of the brew tanks areas and my father-in-law and I were very impressed. It shows the care and attention to detail put into making the beer and you can taste it in the results. This is high quality craft beer! It is the first and, right now, only winery in the State of Florida to hold a brewpub license! All the beer is on tap and sold only by the pint. But with beer this good, I'm sure it's just a matter of time before it's available by the growler or maybe even bottle. It's that good! If you are anywhere near Crystal River Florida, I highly recommend a stop at Copp Brewery!
