Emily Gimmel, founder and CEO, stumbled upon her idea after realizing that most computer bags for women were too masculine, sporty, or boring and corporate looking. This realization launched a full on pursuit to find a bag that looked like a million bucks without the million dollar price tag. To no avail, Emily decided to take matters into her own hands, and GRACESHIP was born. Now GRACESHIP offers a line of unique bags geared towards independent business women. Currently there are three bags on the market: London, New York, and Chicago. A fourth, Hong Kong, is on the way. Each bag has its own style, and is inspired by the cities which they are named.
