Our name and purpose were inspired by the biblical story of Mary Magdalene. Her story reminds us that we must directly serve and support the most vulnerable and marginalized among us without prejudice. Although our organization is partly inspired by a belief in God and religious teachings, we are a non-religious and non-proselytizing organization. We are also strictly non-political. We serve and support all those who need our help without regard to creed or religion.
