This "mini-farm" grows everything without chemicals. We do our own canning, so that we know exactly what went into everything we eat. Our water comes from a well, but we collect rainwater for re-use in the garden, and greywater for re-use in our orchard. Our paper and vegetable waste either goes to our compost pile, chickens, or worms, and the the dung from these to go back into our garden. Our paper and vegetable waste either goes to our compost pile, chickens, or worms, and the the dung from these to go back into our garden. Our yard waste gets chopped up and also goes into our compost pile, along with our winter cover crops, and any "weeds" that pop up. We have a portable solar panel and generator for emergency freezer or heat use, in case the electric goes out. We give day-long classes that teach all of this, and a 1/2 hour tour, as long as you call at least an hour ahead of time.
