We are a local group of restaurants and tried using this co more than once. Not only were they slow and lazy, purposefully burning up hours on the clock, but they tried to sell us parts that were not needed. Our walk-in was acting up a bit and we wanted a simple service call and a possible maintenance contract. Upon arrival the owner, Chris, started his incessant schmoozing. All we wanted was a simple fix to what appeared to be a basic problem (according to our in house maintenance man) and all we seemed to get was recommendations for complicated and expensive overhauls of our equipment. Our normal walk in repair co was busy that day unfortunately so we decided to give Cold Nation USA a shot. We let them make their recommended repairs, which by the way was way more than our normal bill, and we got their estimate for a maintenance contract. The contract was a complete and utter joke. More than double what we would've paid and for half the work. Needless to say we didn't go with the contract and we caught Chris, THE OWNER OF THE CO. sitting in his van watching movies or something while he was supposed to be on the clock. Right, so I get to pay $75-$85/hr or whatever it was for him to try and sell me things i don't need and to sit in his van and watch movies. I will definitely NOT be calling them again in the future. I got the distinct feeling while speaking to him that he didn't even understand the basics of refrigeration. I've had enough stores to know a little something.
