Experience with ICA Cabinets / L2 Supply Corp - Product & Service Concerns. ICA, also doing business as L2 Supply Corp, supplied and installed kitchen cabinets and quartz countertops for nearly $10,000. All dealings-including payments, scheduling, and materials-were handled solely through an ICA rep at their main showroom. Concerns: The "Cemento Gray" quartz kitchen countertop has an uneven finish with both matte and glossy areas. Also, a sticky residue remains despite using quartz-safe cleaners. ICA couldn't identify the quartz brand, stating it was likely an unbranded import and had no warranty. The quartz was sourced by ICA from a Melrose Park, IL supplier--who stated the issue was due to fabrication or installation errors by ICA's subcontractors, but, having dealt solely with ICA, referred me back to them. ICA, however, denied responsibility and refused to contact their own supplier. I consulted numerous independent quartz professionals; all reported the finish was very poor, due to a faulty top coating not typical of quality quartz. Most concluded replacement was the only viable option. Despite repeated requests, ICA refused to send the subcontractors back to at least attempt to improve the appearance, stating they were already paid (by ICA). ICA failed to document the subcontractors' information on my condo building's official paperwork, despite specific instructions on the forms they completed and signed. Cabinets - Initially acceptable in appearance, but later found to have multiple cracks. ICA first agreed to send someone, but soon after said no. Bathroom Countertop - White quartz installed by ICA has permanent dark marks that cannot be removed using pH-neutral cleaners. Multiple attempts to escalate to a supervisor or owner were denied. ICA declined every invitation for follow-up work on the 3 unresolved issues.
