In 2003, Annah Frances Emuge took $5000 from her retirement fund and built a small three room house in Agu Uganda to shelter her aging mother and 15 orphan children whom were staying in a nearby village. Annah promised to provide for these childern and did so by created the Atai Orphanage Fund. She named it after her mother Atai.
