In 2003, Annah Frances Emuge took $5000 from her retirement fund and built a small three room house in Agu Uganda to shelter her aging mother and 15 orphan children whom were staying in a nearby village. Annah promised to provide for these childern and did so by created the Atai Orphanage Fund. She named it after her mother Atai. Through generous donations by Annah and her Atai Orphanage Fund supporters, Annah & Atai have been able to provide food and clothing to the children, take care of the children too sick to leave home, and send the healthy children to school. All the children are happier, healthier and better educated then they ever could have been without Annah and Atai's love and support.
