Met Jim Oct 18 re renovation of condo. He said it would be completed Dec 12. Moved in Dec 19. Upon my arrival unit had no bathroom vanity or sink, no hot water bath or kitchen. Old kitchen cabinets & countertops to be replaced still in place. Two bookcases not ready. The project, now in its 6th month, stalled. Jim hasn't worked here since February 13. He hasn't responded to my last attempts to reach him via phone or text. When he's asked for money I have not made him wait for it. He made the bookcase smaller than I had planned on in order to fit it into the building's elevator. The bookcase was built but somehow a kerosene spill forced its demolition before it was delivered! A second attempt was made but because Jim failed to measure correctly it won't fit in the elevator. Jim chose to literally SAW my new bookcase INTO PIECES. He delivered a piece of it but others including the base are still missing. I still can't put items on it. Jim had never installed a dishwasher with stone countertops before. Rather than research it on the internet where the procedure is easily found, he chose to jerry rig it. Installation already failing. He has not returned to address it. I monitor the quality of his work myself and point out the bigger problems that I see. It's a frustrating and tedious process. I wish they would monitor their own work and save me the trouble. Most of these mistakes are obvious. 'Measure twice, cut once' rule not always followed. Lack of attention to detail.
