I am in the process of getting fitted with new aids. Dr. Esterline was very helpful in explaining the hearing problem I exhibited during the testing, and clearly explained the choices of aids. While I've had them for only two weeks, I've noticed that people are not mumbling so much anymore. It's a treat to watch TV and not have to constantly ask my wife what they said. I am very pleased with the service thus far, and am anxious to get the full benefit of the digital aids through the programming to come. As I said, I'm just in the first two weeks, and that pretty well entails only one setting, to get me used to the sound difference. I highly recommend you investigate your hearing ability with Dr. Esterline if you have begun noticing people's propensity to mumble.
