Granite Gorge, located on Route 9 on the Keene/Roxbury, N.H., line, offers winter recreation for the whole family. The location was selected in the 1950s when a group of former Olympians went looking for a site in southern New Hampshire. Pinnacle Mountain was selected because of its north face, protection from the wind, and ability to hold snow.
