The company was started in 1963 as a plumbing and heating company, we now also supply and install solar thermal and PV systems An introduction to P. Brayford and Father Ltd Our company is family run, it was started by our father Peter Brayford back in 1963. It started off as a plumbing, decorating and property repairs business. In 1985 Peter junior started working for the business straight from school, where he did a full apprenticeship as a plumbing and heating engineer. He was contracted out to British Gas for ten years. In 1992 Richard joined the family business after doing an apprenticeship as an electrician. We worked together training in plumbing, heating, gas, oil, building maintenance and electrical work.
