We teach quilting, garment sewing, knitting, crochet, rug making, embroidery, clothing alterations, spinning & weaving in cooperation with The Little Loomhouse, special projects and crafts using needle and thread and more. We welcome all ages and skill levels from beginner to expert. Classes are small and every student gets lots of personal attention.

Opened in 1978, The Needle Works is Austin, Texas' oldest established store for fine, hand-painted needlepoint canvas as well as for the largest selection of threads in the Texas Hill Country. After 30 years in the same shopping center, we have moved into our own building as of July 1st. Built in the Craftsman style of architecture, the store is 3500 square feet.
