Good Hall is an apartment-style residential community for senior students at Denison University. The Sunsets, identical in design, house upper-class students in apartment-style suites. Good Hall was built as a replica to its companion buildings in 2001. Originally named Sunset A, B, C, and D, the Sunset Apartments were renamed in 2012 after past Denison presidents.

Originally Lanson Stage Curtis Memorial Hall, the building was a gift of Mrs. Annetta R. Jewell in memory of her son. Ready for occupancy in September 1940, Curtis West provided rooms for 75 men and dining for 150.

Wright Hall is a residential community at Denison University which provides senior students with four-person apartments. Dubbed early on as “the brownstones” for their distinctive architectural style, these residence halls feature four single bedrooms per apartment, each with a common area for shared dining and relaxing, a kitchen area with stove, oven, and refrigerator. Altogether, the brownstones house 112 men and women. They were commissioned by the Board of Trustees in 2003.

Beaver Hall is a residential community consisting of suite-style, single, and double rooms located on East Quad of Denison University. Arnold Brunner finished the building in 1925, and it was one of the two dorms for women built at the time. The dorm was named after Mary Thresher Beaver, at the request of her husband Frederick P. Beaver (trustee, 1900-1936) who donated funds for the building.

A residential hall located on the East Quad of Denison University, Huffman Hall houses students in single, double, triple, and suite-style rooms. Named for William P. Huffman, a third-generation member of his family to serve as a Denison trustee, the hall was designed by Gilbert Seltzer and built in 1960. On the lower floors are a 700-seat dining hall and the Bandersnatch, a student-run coffee house and social space. Student rooms are located on the second and third floors of the building.

Located on East Quad, Crawford Hall is Denison's largest residence hall and contains double, single, and triple rooms. It was built by Gilbert Seltzer, campus architect upon the death of William Gehron. The design is a modified Georgian Revival style made from red brick and stone. The building is dedicated to Frederick C. Crawford, trustee, 1944-1994.

The Homestead is a student-run community with a focus on sustainability at Denison University. The community is home to an "earth ship" and houses 12 students in total. The first of three wooden cabins built by students was constructed in 1977 as part of an alternative living project proposed and led by the late Robert W. Alrutz, a professor of biology. One of the three cabins burned in the winter of 2000 and "Cabin Phoenix," constructed with rammed earth, tires, and straw bales, took its place.

Served as a residential community for first-year students of Denison University, Smith Hall has double and triple room options. The building is named after Franklin G. Smith, Cleveland industrialist and trustee, 1915-1968. William Gehron designed the building and Smith Hall was completed in 1953.

Named in honor of Dr. Shepardson, president of the women's college that merged with Denison University, Shepardson is a suite-style residence hall located on the East Quad of the college. The building of brick and limestone was made in a New Formalism style. It was completed by Gilbert Steltz in 1968.

Stone Hall is an apartment-style residential community on South Quad of Denison University. Stone Hall was originally built as a women's dorm but was later converted to apartments for faculty and staff. The design is Jefferson Federal Revival style in brick and stone. The hall was named for Dr. Marsena Stone, the second principal of the Young Ladies' Institute (1861-1869) and professor.
