Sudoku puzzles (whether they took 10 minutes or over an hour to solve) bored me to death. Because they were SO POPULAR, I decided to make similar puzzles that combined the non-mathematical and mathematical numbers puzzles using 1-9. When doing the math, you have whole numbers 0-99 at all times. After PUZLN 1-9 (registered trademark) became the official name, and a couple years of making puzzles, I began the facebook page Puzln JeweLs. It is stil getting more page fans and Followers. Each new Puzzle gets many viewers solving. A PUZLN 1-9 appeared in the October, 2011 issue of GAMES magazine, and then another appeared in the March, 2012 issue. There are 2 Mini Magazines that also became available in 2012. They have helped me donate over $1,300.00 to a friend of mine, who is battling bone cancer, and over $1,200.00 to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Beginning March 1, 2016, Number-Crunching Sudoku, the first book of PUZLN 1-9 puzzles will be available at Barnes and Noble, and other bookstores throughout the world.

Our puzzles are painted with new Non-toxic paints which meet environmental regulations and consumer demand, which has led to the development of low-VOC and zero-VOC paints and finishes. Most paint manufacturers now produce one or more non-VOC variety of paint. These new paints are durable, and less harmful to human and environmental health.

I have published 3 cryptogram books. All books are done in large print - making it easy on the eyes, double - spaced with room to write your answers within the puzzle and a line separates each puzzle. Cryptograms (aka cryptoquips, cryptoquotes, word puzzles) are a great exercise for the mind. Both pattern recognition and linear thought are necessary in code breaking. This is an excellent exercise to train the mind to think using both halves of the brain.
