NATURALIST WINEMAKING At Pleasant View Vineyards we create Naturalist wines, where we rely solely on the grape and its seasonal differences that ultimately produce each year fine wines without the use of sulfites, enzymes, additives or sugar. Our fermentation naturally happens and the wines aging and mellowing comes from resting within sustainable untreated French oak barrels. As Naturalist winemakers we are pragmatists not zealots and simply assist nature in creating the fine wines that come from grapes that have been nurtured and cared for within our high altitude Colorado Vineyard. The concept is simple and has been that way for more than a thousand years.

Wilderness Run Vineyards is located on a beautiful farm property, with an abundance of animal and plant life to explore. Our vineyard is well maintained and mowed weekly. We try to make your visit comfortable. We supply buckets for picking, and kids pick for free. We have a pavilion with seating and fans to cool off. Come and enjoy the open air.

We have dedicated 4 greenhouses and 1 acre of row crops to growing a variety of fresh vegetables and herbs. All produce is grown using organic practices, without any harmful pesticides. We also use all organic and non-GMO seeds for planting. In the Spring of 2017, we planted an acre of grapevines on our property. The variety we chose was Blanc Du Bois, an American hybrid grape that grows very well in South Texas. In the Spring of 2022 we added 1600 more vines of the Walker Variety vines. We are open from Friday to Sunday, Friday & Saturday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and Sunday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Live music Friday and Saturday evening.

Thanks for your interest in touring Lake Erie Wine Country. It is home to over 24 commercial and estate wineries. We do not offer "tours" per se, and there is no charge to visit our wine region. What we have is 24 wineries on a 50-mile stretch between Silver Creek, NY and the town of Harborcreek, PA. The wineries are open year-round, 7 days a week (for the most part). Most (but not all) of the wineries charge a small tasting fee per person. This is usually only $1 - $5. Out of those, some return your fee off the price of a bottle of wine if you purchase.
