Together, with the mentorship of Jim McGarth, George became plant manager and they began building their company. After 35 years running the business, Jim finally retired and sold his company to George to continue the traditions that they established together. George turned it into a family business with his wife and three sons, and focused all their energy on the expansion of production and market diversification. A strive for innovation led to the acquisition of Jersey Specialty Company formerly located in East Longmeadow, MA. JSC serviced the electronics market and added variety to existing product lines.
