FiberGraf supplies carbon fiber particulates (GrafMat) ranging in size from a few microns to several thousand microns in both an untreated and nickel sized format. GrafMat is the trade name for these carbon fiber particles. Three standard size ranges are 5, 50 and 250 micron particle sizes in both a standard grade and a higher performance grade. In addition grades of nickel coated Grafmat are offered. Nickel coated product can be tailored for surface level amounts as low as 25% by weight. Other metal coatings can be considered. Applications for metal coated GrafMat typically are EMI/RFI shielding. GrafMat particles are typically used as an electrical or thermal additive for compounders who compound both thermoplastic and thermoset resins. As well GrafMat is used in elastomers for EMI/RF.
