LGH understands that women in crisis pregnancy situations face emotional, financial, legal, physical, and social hardships. By helping them deal with the difficulties, the LGH team offers the necessary support to meet their needs. We accept young women under the age of 18 that are less than 20 weeks into her pregnancy. Bayard House is the only licensed residential program in Delaware providing service twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week serving at-risk homeless pregnant and newly parenting adolescent women and their babies. The program provides a safe, clean shelter in a homelike environment, where residents receive appropriate prenatal care to ensure the delivery of healthy babies as well as develop the necessary skills to become responsible, capable parents and self-sufficient, contributing members of their community. Bayard House provides individualized case management, workshops and direct services, requiring all residents to complete independent living and parenting skills workshops. Bayard House also makes available, as appropriate to each resident, mental health support, drug and/or alcoh
