A dynamic speaker, Barbara motivates audiences to build their resilience in the workplace to mitigate the impact of vicarious trauma and minimize burnout and secondary traumatic stress. Her new book helps families that are dealing with suicide.

We are a nonprofit organization, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We are all volunteers from the community who believe in the mission and support ACHFH by contributing our time and skills in building homes. We come from a broad spectrum of the community: from doctors, lawyers, engineers, business owners, real estate professionals, the clergy, retired and active military officers to librarians, farmers, construction workers, school teachers, and manufacturing workers. We represent the broad community of Adams County. While our construction skills may vary, we are bonded by our common goal of building homes for our fellow citizens allowing ACHFH to build over 30 homes in Adams County since our inception in 1988.
