The family tradition of wine making began in Sicily over 125 years ago, by Grandpa Mikele Vetrano. When Mikele moved his tradition to the U.S. he passed down his talents to his son, Joe Vetrano. Joe, then taught his son, Bill Vetrano the Sicilan family tradition of winemaking. Bill has the passion that his Grandpa and Father had. Bill now continues his family tradition at Vetro Winery which is tucked in the quaint, new development of Sanctuary Ridge, in the City of Jefferson, WI. Randy's journey started off with discussions of how to best utilize the 15 acres of land, zoned as agricultural in the historic Town of Norway. Randy's only request was to have a few grapevines. His idea grew into a one acre vineyard, with 600 vines in the ground! As a professional wine maker, and highly respected grape grower, the fruits of his labor continue to pay dividends with the highlight in 2018 for the boutique style winery was earning a Gold Medal and Best of Class honors at the Indy International Wine Competition at Purdue University.

We specialize in small-batch handcrafted locally revered, and loved wines, and we offer over 27 varietals of wine with 19 winning international medals. Our owner, Craig Fletcher, began producing wine for family and friends in 2009. He had such an enthusiastic response to his wine that he decided to follow his wine-making passion, and in 2013 opened Mona Rose Winery, appropriately named after his wife, Monica Rose.
