What we do:
Trega has incorporated the permanent and semi-permanent mold process (a.k.a. gravity die-casting) since 1973 to cast aluminum parts from a few ounces to 20+ pounds in 300 and 400 series aluminum, and other alloys upon request. We are capable of producing castings of many shapes including lengths of 44âÂÂ+ long and castings as wide as 27âÂÂ. TregaâÂÂs services are capable of small casting runs as little as 50 pieces to several thousand annually.
Why choose the permanent mold casting method:
Permanent mold castings are greater in strength, have a better surface finish and hold closer tolerances than sand castings. Permanent mold tools are made from H13 cast iron, which is less expensive material. Permanent molds are less complex then die-cast tooling.
