I became involved with Amsoil in 1976. Having experienced impressive results with Amsoil in my 1977 Cadillac (60 to 65 miles more per tank of gas) and much improved winter start-ups; my car sat in the parking lot on many a mid-night shift while I controlled air traffic at the World's first (Common IFR Room) radar room at JFK Int'l. Airport. Many winter nights the temperature would be in the teens with wind blowing at 15 to20 knots for eight hours or more. Talk about cold starts! I would belong gone before several controllers would get their vehicles to move. As a teenager, I read a book by Napoleon Hill called "Think and Grow Rich", and my father would tell me, "you should always have an ace in the hole" just in case somethings don't work out. So in January of1977 I became a dealer realizing the great business opportunity based on high quality lubricants with extended drain intervals and environmentally friendly characteristics. In the late 70's I became involved in Oval Track Racing and Drag Racing. Helping and sponsoring racers in every class from racing go -karts, quarter midgets, full midgets, late models and modifies. We produced track champions in every class. Then someone directed me towards off-shore powerboat racing. Through the early 80's we produced eight world champions, years 1984 and 1985 in various classes, both in-board and out-board. Over my almost 40 years, we have synthetically lubricated businesses from A to Z; that is: A large Amusement Park here on Long Island to Zoological Gardens. It's been a great ride!!
