My name is Bessareen Gonzalez, I grew up in a small village in the interior of Alaska. Shortly after graduating high school I was married and on my way to see the world. My husband was in the military at the time and we were stationed in germany a few months after we were married. Talk about culture shock. I went from never leaving Alaska to a whole new world. We had a plan to wait five years before having any children, it didn't take five months for me to become pregnant. Life happens. Our son was born in 1999 it was the best and the worst time of my life. Many complications happened at the time of his birth and we were not sure if he was even going to live.
