The Leesburg Police Department has a proud record of providing police services since 1758. Leesburg is the seat of Government for Loudoun County. To better serve our rapidly growing community of over 40,000 citizens, our department has Patrol/Community Policing Officers, Canine Officers, a Crime Prevention Officer, Bicycle Officers, Detectives, ID Technicians, Motorcycle Traffic Officers, School Resource Officers, an Emergency Response Team, Civil Defense Unit, and our own Emergency Communications Center.
