You may qualify for Social Security Disability in AL if.... 1. You have a medically documented impairment that prevents full-time work. 2. Your impairment is expected to last for at least 12 months OR result in death, AND 3. You have worked enough to be covered--generally, at least 5 years out of the last 10 years (and had Social Security taxes deducted from your wages).
