Cornerstone Engineering, LLC was established in 2017 by Mauricka McKenzie, Sr., P.E. to provide civil engineering, water resources engineering (water, wastewater and storm water), geotechnical engineering, solid waste management, contract administration and project management services to public and private entities throughout Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas, Wisconsin, Florida, Texas. Due to name overlap with a non-related company, we operate under Nehemiah Engineering, LLC, in Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Cornerstone Engineering, LLC’s goals are to responsibly serve municipalities, counties, rural water associations, residential and commercial developers, architect/engineers, and private industry. Cornerstone Engineering, LLC has a staff of professional engineers and technical personnel with the education, the knowledge, and over 50 years of combined experience in providing: Services from project conception to completion Project funding Obtaining government approvals Maintaining close working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies. Cornerstone Engineering, LLC’s primary objective is to be responsive to client needs in a timely manner, to maintain professional integrity in the performance of projects and to provide quality engineering services for each project. Our principal engineer, Mauricka McKenzie, Sr., P.E., was previously employed by Neel-Schaffer, Inc. for over a decade. Through this relationship, he gained extensive experience in various aspects of infrastructure projects ranging in size from small projects under $100,000 to multi million dollar projects. Mr. McKenzie has nearly 20 years of practical engineering experience. He is currently licensed to practice civil engineering in 9 states, including MS, AL, GA, AR, TN, TX, FL, LA and WI. ​Cornerstone Engineering, LLC has formed strategic associations or partnership with other similar firms in order to increase our technical capacity and ability to deliver quality services to all of our clients across multiple disciplines of civil engineering, including transportation, structural, and disaster relief. We maintain a working relationship with other engineering disciplines and can include these services and personnel to insure the needs of the client are fulfilled.
