Located in Brattleboro, Vermont, Venus of Vermont was founded by Sherilee Backman to further cosmetic research and development, respecting both the environment and local culture. Sherilee is also dedicated to promoting the use of natural and endemic ingredients in formulations to increasing regional cosmetic science and career opportunities. Sherilee Backman, owner of Venus of Vermont, has also developed skin, color, hair, intimate care, and other product types for companies including Revlon, Estee Lauder, Jason, The Body Shop, and L'Oreal. She also taught graduate school cosmetic science courses and holds patents and trademarks.
