The Building Performance Center offers technical and managerial training for weatherization contractors around the state of Washington. Our state-of-the-art 5000 sq ft learning lab features twelve hands-on mobile weatherization modules to demonstrate, duct sealing, ldead paint hazard reduction, water heater insulation, dense pack insulation and air damming. We teach over 15 courses and offer certification for BPI and RRP lead. The training facility is available for rent and includes the lab, seating over 80 people, an 865 sq ft classroom seating 24 and a 400 sq ft classroom seating 24. Video Conferencing Equipment available.

When a home energy audit is performed by Washington Energy Management, it includes a thorough visual inspection and diagnostic testing (infrared imaging, blower door testing) of your home, ranging from the doors and windows, attic insulation, crawl space insulation, duct work (insulation and sealing), down to the weatherstripping. We will also look for holes in the floors and ceilings where wires, plumbing and heat registers penetrate the building envelop. We inspect the entire home with a detailed understanding of how each part of the system interrelates - heating, air conditioning, duct work, insulation, ventilation, moisture, windows/doors, air pressure and air flow.
