The history of Compleat Baldwin Brass Center starts with the rich heritage of Baldwin Hardware Corporation. Owned and operated by Baldwin Hardware Corporation, the Compleat Baldwin Brass Center opened for business in 1979 on the 700 block of Penn Avenue, in West Reading PA. As the first company retail center, the store was used to train prospective dealers on how to display and sell Baldwin products. In 1991 the store was purchased from Baldwin Hardware Corporation and operated as a family enterprise to this day. By 2003 the store moved to its current location on the 600 block of Penn Ave. In 2007 expansion of the current retail store offers a design center with high-end kitchen and bath elements such as custom cabinetry, TOTO bathroom fixtures, faucets and bathroom accessories.
