Ben-Christo is a South African born Fine Artist with a strong background in the performing arts. This affinity with movement and dance reflects in his subjects which are infused with a kinetic energy that brings the work to life. Ben-Christo has traveled extensively throughout Africa, Europe and the Near East as a portrait and landscape artist developing a unique approach to his preferred mediums of graphite and charcoal with which he creates a striking and simple impression of highly defined contrasts. Currently based in the United States near Cleveland OH, Ben-Christo has exhibited in locations across Ohio and New York City. The series of portraits and landscapes currently in progress aim to create a sense of inner spaciousness and stillness that invites the viewer to reconnect with an awareness of being in the present moment
